As seen from the statistical data on COVID-19 deaths between India and the US, the percentage of deaths are lower in India compared to the US. With all the poverty, malnutrition and the unhygienic living conditions, poor health infrastructure prevailing in India,
…There is a significant increase of Covid cases in various parts of the world in the last one week as opposed to the week earlier . The increases in different countries are as follows . 1.UK — 69%.- This is accompanied by a 11% increase in death rate . 2.Indonesia – 44% — followed by 39% increase in death rate . 3.South Africa – 30% — followed by 50% increase in death rate . 4.Bangladesh — 53% increase – followed by 49% increase in death rate . 5.Russia — 20% — followed by 27% increase in death rate . 6.USA – 11% increase — followed by a decline of 17% in death rate . 7 .India — 14% decline in cases – followed by 31% decline in deaths . However it should be understood that in the Southern states ( with the exception of Tealangana ) , Maharastra , West Bengal , Odisha and Assam as also in other states of NE there is no significant decline of cases – inspite of significant vaccination efforts in some of them ..This is because vaccination coverage is still not adequate among major segments of population . Hence any further attempts to open up sectors are I’ll advised . State Govts , reeling under poor resources have major liquidity issues and will progressively open up .This has to be countered .
I find the disturbing trend of Covid not declining but slightly on the rise in the Southern states , Maharastra , Odisha , West Bengal and Assam. It should be remembered that for every positive case that is getting detected , there will be at least twenty to thirty future cases already waiting and to to be tested – unless the person testing has been following isolation as a measure of caution . It would perhaps be better that every person testing positive notifies all his contacts in the preceding ten days so that they also follow suit . A number of Asian countries , Countries in South America , UK , Russia are seeing a significant increase . I hope the states in our country increase their testing and tracking . I do hope that the two Telugu speaking states impose restrictions on movement from place to place .They should close down all cinema theatres .I am sure they would have learnt the bitter lessons in Covid management after the indictment of courts on their adventuristic moves on school reopening .
There is a spurt of of COVID cases in a number of states .All the four Southern states ( except Tamil Nadu -which is again marginal ) , Maharastra, Odisha and West Bengal . By opening up of various sectors ,State Governments have been totally indifferent to the health and welfare of people . All these states and others are on an unmistakable path of ascendancy of COVID cases and the consequential illness and death of people . ” We learn from History that we will not learn from History. What experience and history teaches us is that people and Governments have never learned anything from History or acted on principles ” Hegel .
Maharastra continues to make adjustment of Covid deaths for the forth or fifth day successively .
There are a total of 68362 covid cases in the country yesterday ( without Gujarat whose figures are not in the portal ) .There were a total of 3880 deaths yesterday in the entire country . Maharastra accounts for 2771 of them( deaths) — a clear case of adjustment of earlier deaths !
After Bihar it is now the turn of Maharastra to ” purify its data relating to Covid mortality ” .
It added 1552 past deaths on 10 th June and possibly about 2200 ( past deaths ) on 11th of June 2021 .Its daily reported tally of deaths on 11th at 2619 is part of India’s total death tally of 3987 !( As I said it contains past deaths of about 2200 added on 11th of June !) .
Probably other states too would start catching up with this number game — sooner than later !
After the massive purification(?) of of data of Covid cases in Bihar at the behest of Patna High Court , I started looking at the the total active cases — state wise with the reference to the new case load yesterday .
In all most all cases it is ranging between 1 is to 10 to 20 .It means that for every new case there are ten to twenty active cases in different states .
The only exception among major states is West Bengal .In West Bengal there were 5274 new cases and the total active ( reported )cases yesterday were 14719 .This is one is to( less than) 3 .
These figures will have to be taken with a pinch of salt as deaths in West Bengalj yesterday were 87 — by no means a small figure .
The new cases yesterday in the country were 91,211 and the active cases 11,19,928 .
I find a massive adjustment of figures of mortality of Covid brought in by Bihar on a single day .
The daily deaths on account of Covid in our country on 9th June 2021 have shot up by nearly 4000 to a staggering figure of 6138 !.
This is entirely on account of Bihar reporting the daily deaths of 3971 on a single day yesterday .This has taken its CFR to a sudden jump of 1.3 % which till recently was 0.6% .
There is some purification of figures in Bihar .This can not happen overnight .
With a new case load which is in the vicinity of 500 and with total declining active case load of 7352 one can not have the daily death figure of 3971 .
The Bihar babus owe the country an explanation.
