The daily new corona cases in the country were 1.14 lakhs yesterday and the declining trend continues over the earlier days’ numbers .
What is significant is that 65% of the cases are from 5 States as follows
1.Tamil Nadu — 21410 – Daily deaths –443.
2.Kerala — 17328 .Daily deaths -209.
3.Karnataka — 13380 — Daily deaths – 365
4.Maharastra — 13659 — Daily deaths — 741.
5 .Andhra Pradesh — 10373 .Daily deaths — 80 .

6.West Bengal and Odisha account for over 7000 new cases each on 5th June .

[04:57, 6/5/2021] Sir: The corona cases all over the country continue to decline .
The new cases in the last 24 hours in our country are 1.21 lakhs .The recoveries yesterday have been 1.97 lakhs.
The total active cases have declined to about 15.51 lakhs .

It is good that Telangana continues to give a daily exhaustive bulletin on Covid .
The bulletin for 4th June indicates the following important developments .
1.The daily samples tested were 1.36 lakhs — a staggering number indeed .The number who tested positive are 2175 .This roughly works out to a test positivity rate of 1.6%.
What is significant and of concern is the age wise distribution of the positive cases .
The following is the pattern .
1.Up to 10 years — 2.9% .

While there has been a significant decline of daily cases and a reduction in the total case load , there are significant pointers .
Our present case load of about 18 lakhs on 1- 6-21 ( entire country ) corresponds to the level of 17th of April 2021 .
What is important to remember is the predominance of about 7 states in the case load .
The state wide details of present case load of these 7 states are the following– together with their status of vaccination .
1.Maharastra — 2.3 lakhs– vaccination – 18.8%.
2.Karnataka — 2.98 -lakhs. – vaccination — 21%.

3.Kerala — 2.02 lakhs– Vaccination – 26.8%.

4.Tamil Nadu– 2.96 lakhs — vaccination — 11.96%.

5 .Andhra Pradesh — 1.46lakhs –vaccinatiion 18.96%.

6.West Bengal — 78613 ..
Vaccination — 15%.

7 .Odisha — 78861.
Vaccination — 17%.
