The daily new corona cases in the country were 1.14 lakhs yesterday and the declining trend continues over the earlier days’ numbers .
What is significant is that 65% of the cases are from 5 States as follows
1.Tamil Nadu — 21410 – Daily deaths –443.
2.Kerala — 17328 .Daily deaths -209.
3.Karnataka — 13380 — Daily deaths – 365
4.Maharastra — 13659 — Daily deaths — 741.
5 .Andhra Pradesh — 10373 .Daily deaths — 80 .
6.West Bengal and Odisha account for over 7000 new cases each on 5th June .
Maharashtra ‘s death count continues to be high inspite of remarkable improvement in Mumbai.
Its Dts like Pune ,Nagpur ,Satara ,Nashik ,Ahmednagar continue to show high death rates .
A number of Dts in Maharastra ‘s have huge case fatality rate .
There are strange parallels between Maharastra and Punjab where a number of Dts have staggering case fatality rates .Among the Dts in Punjab with very high case fatality rates are Sangrur ( 5.2%) ,Taran Taran ( 4.3%) ,Barnala ( 3.7% ) , Gurdaspur ( 3.5%) , Hoshiarpur ( 3.2%) .
It would be necessary for each state in the !country to prepare a plan of action Dt wise particularly in all those Dts where the CFR has been very high to ensure that in future, lives are saved .
