[04:57, 6/5/2021] Sir: The corona cases all over the country continue to decline .
The new cases in the last 24 hours in our country are 1.21 lakhs .The recoveries yesterday have been 1.97 lakhs.
The total active cases have declined to about 15.51 lakhs .

It is good that Telangana continues to give a daily exhaustive bulletin on Covid .
The bulletin for 4th June indicates the following important developments .
1.The daily samples tested were 1.36 lakhs — a staggering number indeed .The number who tested positive are 2175 .This roughly works out to a test positivity rate of 1.6%.
What is significant and of concern is the age wise distribution of the positive cases .
The following is the pattern .
1.Up to 10 years — 2.9% .

  1. 11 to 20 years — 10.6% .
    3.21 to 30 years — 21.7%.
    4.. 31 to 40 years — 21.8% .

5 .41 to 50 years –17.5%.

6 .51 to 60 years – 14.4% .

It is very clear that 70 % of those who are testing positive are less than 50 years of age .
32 % are those who are less than 30 years of age .
Any talk of opening educational institutions whether for examinations or for physical classes now would be suicidal .
[05:30, 6/5/2021] Sir: UK is again a classic case of reopening early and running into trouble again ..
With lot of vaccination ,their current infection level at 1.07 lakhs is – roughly what it was in the 4th week of September 2020 — when the cases started surging .It is a pity that this is happening inspite of 40 million persons in that country ( out of 68 million ) having got at least the first dose of vaccine .
This is because they started organizing foot ball matches where crowds were fighting – musical concerts etc .
